Here are some questions I find people often ask regarding my services:

How did this service come about?
Several years ago, my brother-in-law Tom and his fiancée Jan, asked me to officiate their wedding on my pontoon boat. After that Steve and Mandi asked me to perform their wedding at a community center. The following summer, I married my niece Gina and her fiancée Dan at a country club. I found the experiences incredibly gratifying. I began to realize how many couples did not want to be married in an actual church setting and became acutely aware of the difficulties locating a minister to perform such ceremonies. However I have performed weddings in small non-denominational chapels. I always consider it an honor when I am asked to preside over this very special occasion—for any couple, anywhere.

What about the ideal wedding location?
You decide-it's your dream. We are entering a brand new age of wedding locations that certainly would have surprised our grandparents. If a place has a special meaning for you, it is my privelege to see you married there. Indoor/outdoors, traditional and contemporary, the options are endless. I can also make recommendations if you wish. Here are some venues in which I have performed ceremonis in the past:

  • The Abbey in Lake Geneva
  • Galleria Marchetti
  • Millenium Park
  • Pazzo's
  • Metropolitan Club in the Sears Tower
  • A New Leaf
  • Naper Settlement
  • Wilder Park
  • Schramm Chapel
  • Independence Grove
  • Pheasant Run
  • Walter Payton's Round House
  • The Newberry Library
  • DiNolfo's
  • Silver Lake Country Club
  • Carriage Greens Country Club
  • The Drake in Oakbrook
  • The Hyatt Lodge
  • Walton Island
  • Chandler's
How much will your services cost me?
Obviously, no two weddings are alike, so fees will vary according to your particular needs. I can participate in the simplest or the most elaborate of ceremonies. Furthermore, if cost is a concern, I will work with you and charge according to your means.

How long will my ceremony last?
Most importantly, I always emphasize to the couple: "Don't be in a hurry-I will not rush you-after all-it's your wedding day! Your memory should last a lifetime. I have found for some couples, 7 minutes is fine. 15-20 minutes is about right. Anything over 30 minutes and we have some serious wobbling of the knees! I promise to include everything and anything your hearts desire.

How do we reserve our wedding date?
First things first: Contact me to see if your date and time is available on my schedule and so we can set an initial meeting.
